The
Neonatal Unit at Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides
highly specialised care to the newborn infants from Poole and
Bournemouth.
We aim to improve the health outcomes for newborn babies by:
- providing the best specialist care for newborns in Poole and Bournemouth.
- providing undergraduate and postgraduate education and training for
our medical and nursing staff.
- providing information, health promotion, resources, education
and advocacy for families and the community.

Dorset Police Benevolent Fund -

A
Benevolent Fund was first established in the Dorset Constabulary
in 1931 with the object of supplementing the pensions received by
widows of members. The present Fund was formed in 1974 after Local
Government area changes. The Fund has always been administered by
a management Committee consisting of members of all ranks and includes
NARPO members.
The
Fund typically pays out over £70,000 a
year in Widows Grants, Death Grants and Grants to children of deceased
members. The fund currently assists over 200 widows and widowers, and funds
and organises a Christmas Lunch for all widows and widowers.
